Upside down Strawberry Shortcake!

We celebrated Dear Husband's birthday recently. I got him a strawberry shortcake. Sweet Jose Luis was trying to help take the groceries of the the bag. I was in total shock when I see him bringing me his dad's birthday cake upside down. I was able to work on it and fixed it. But the idea of an upside down strawberry shortcake is note a bad one.

The title of my post says it all.................when Christmas comes around, I often think of the greatest gift of all that God has given all of us....................Jesus. That gift I know I have forever and ever............I also think of all of you my friends, family, contacts, and of course the most treasured gifts my hubby and my dearest son Jose Luis.............I have all I need. My heart is full of thanksgiving as I reflect on this Christmas day on all these gifts!

Wow, it's Been a While! Happy Thanksgiving

It's been a while since I posted...........I will go back to try to recover the lost months and pictures etc........But Thought Thanksgiving would be a great day to try to come back and begin posting again. What can I say? Life got busy at the flores and my online time has been limited(for the good). Have chosen to do more out door events and stay a little away from the computer. Jose Luis is now 5 years old. He is such a sweet and smart kid. He is in Kindergarden 2 and is now 99.9% bilingual. He is doing great in school. Great reports from teachers. He is very athletic, learned Tennis during the summer and plays Soccer in the fall. He loves to draw, sing and compose songs. He eats and sleeps well and is very strong and healthy. On Tuesday we visited the inside playground and below were the special guest he was excited to meet. Have a wonderful thanksgiving..............me? I am thankful for the gift God has given me of my son and the many special people that help make this happen and the friends, I met along the way.....................Shalom!

FFF-Father's day and last day of K-1

Jose Luis and I went shopping for a father's day gift and I told him in the car that his dad could not see it until the next day, when we got home he told his dad, we got you something but mom said not to tell you because it's a surprise for tomorrow. Jose Luis finished his last day of Kindergarden 1 this week. WIth mixed emotions I attended his celebration. Very emotional for me to see how fast my little toddler has turned into a little boy who by the way claims to know "Everything". At school he won an award for being the most eager one in the class to want to learn new things..........and get others excited about learning.

Jose Luis loves the playground. He could live there if only mom would bring the pillow. SO this past week it was late..and he wanted to go to the park, he asked and I said it depends! and he goes, mom, "It depends on what????" I was not ready for this question! I love this week's theme at http://www.kissthefrog4me.blogspot.com/ which is OUT. Jose Luis loves to be out! Yesterday, I went to register him for fall Soccer and as we left he goes mom, where are we going now, I said home of course. He goes, let's go to the park. I said, it is late and it is probably close by now. He said, let's go check. I said, looks like there is no park around here but if you see one let me know. I took every back road I could to avoid the parks because it was late but he still managed to see one from a distance, and we had to stop there. Of course it was opened! ;-) Below are some favorite pictures of his class trip to the Boston Commons to see the Ducklings , The Swan boats, the playground. Enjoy!

I took him to the park on Mother's day weekend and each time he saw a flower he would pick it up and say, mom here is a flower for you.

On friday before Mother's day when I went to pick up Jose Luis at school he had a plant and card for me. His class did a project which involved planting the seeds so the kids could have a gift for mother's day to give to their moms. He knows it. I tell him everyday. He says "Mom, I am your gift from GOD, right? I say, YES! This week I had on the shirt you see on the first picture below. Jose Luis said to me, "Mom, you look like a princess with that shirt you have on today",,,,,,,,,,,he also told me recently, mom, even when I grow up and get married, I will always be your baby. I said yes!

FFF-Not about me, its all about him and Spring Break09

However since I am always the one with the camera, don't have that much pictures of me...... or at least that sounds like a good reason and I am sticking to it.........so I wanted to share some spring break pictures from this week visit to the ZOO. Please note that when I picked up Jose Luis from school on Friday before spring break, he was quick to advise me on what his agenda of places to go during spring break was. He said, I will be on vacation mom. ;-)

FFF- Return of my last year Easter miracle!

This week I wanted to share some recent pictures of my 2008 EASTER miracle! My son Jose Luis......I remember how at the beginning of 2008, I cried out to God and ask that my son would be home by Easter of 2008............God was faithful and the plane arrived to Boston, March 1, 2008..............just in time to become my Easter Miracle! So this is our second Easter Together!
